Pool Chemical Coupons!!

We have a small 16 ft x 48 in. above ground pool. I had no idea how many chemicals I was supposed to have treated the pool with each spring. So I took a sample of the water over to a local pool store and found out that I needed to add about $150 worth of chemicals (the cost at the high end pool store) in order to get the water clear and healthy to swim in.

Well, there was no way I was going to drop that kind of money on pool chemicals. So yesterday my mission was to see how I could get everything I needed for less then $40 and guess what.... I did it!

For those of you that have pools here is what I did!

I bought 3 of the things I needed at Ollie's (local discount store) that came to around $18. They don't take manufacturer coupons but my neighbor did have a 15% off store coupon that I used (thanks Patty)

Then I called Walmart to compare their prices with the other chemicals I needed. I printed out several coupons for the HTH products HERE and HERE and took those with me. The total before coupons was around $53! After coupons $18!!

This is just another example that if you take a little time to research what you are buying you should never have to pay retail for anything!
